The Pleat Wall Light brings a soft, sculptural glow to a wall with its fan pleated silhouette in burnt orange, paired with a pale pink glass shade that warms the light as it spreads. The burnt orange and pale pink finish

The pleated outer body is powder coated steel in a rich, matte burnt orange, a colour with enough depth to hold its own against terracotta tiles, warm timber, or brass hardware, while still reading as a considered accent against pale or neutral walls. Inside, a pale pink glass shade wraps the bulb, softening the light before it reaches the room and giving the fixture a subtle blush glow when lit, a detail that only really shows itself once the light is switched on. Together the two tones give this variant a playful but grown up character rather than a purely decorative one.

How it works

This is a flush wall light that can also be fitted flush to a ceiling in smaller rooms or low ceiling spaces, so it earns its keep as either a wall fitting or a compact ceiling light. It takes a single G9 bulb (not included), up to 28w maximum, with a 3w G9 LED recommended for the best balance of warmth and running cost, and it's dimmable if paired with a compatible dimmer switch and bulb. The fixture is hardwired to the 240v mains via a class 2, double insulated, 2-core cable, and is operated from an external wall switch rather than a built in switch on the fitting itself. Assembled it measures roughly 230mm high by 230mm wide by 160mm deep and weighs around 1.6kg.

Where it works best

Its IP44 rating means it's rated safe for use in bathrooms as well as everyday living spaces, so it works equally well as ambient lighting either side of a bathroom mirror, along a hallway or stairwell, or as a low, moody wash of light in a bedroom or snug. Because it sits flush to the wall (or ceiling), it also suits narrower hallways and smaller rooms where a projecting fitting would feel like clutter.
