This oversized cone shade brings a quiet sense of drama to a ceiling point, its rich bark brown exterior giving way to a checkerboard lining that only reveals itself once the light goes on. The bark brown finish

The outer is a solid, deep bark brown in high quality cotton canvas, a warm, earthy tone that reads more like a considered furnishing fabric than a typical lampshade. It sits well against timber, rattan, and other natural materials, and pairs easily with brass or black fittings if you're building out a scheme. Turn the light on and the checkerboard lining underneath, in a soft marshmallow cream, comes through the canvas as a subtle pattern and texture that you won't see at all when the light is off.

The shade is built around a durable steel frame with a cotton canvas outer and a PVC laminated lining, so it holds its cone shape well over time. It comes with a fixed gimbal fitting, designed as an easy fit alternative to a traditional ceiling fixture rather than a full rewire, so it fits onto an existing ceiling point. The canvas is translucent enough to filter the bulb into a warm, ambient downlight, letting both the bark brown tone and the checkerboard pattern show through softly rather than casting a hard beam. No bulb is included, so you'll need to add your own to suit the fitting.
