This chandelier is built from 66 handmade amber glass pieces, each in the elongated "lady fingers" shape that gives the design its name, arranged across three tiers of branching brass arms. No two glass pieces are quite identical, so the whole fixture reads as a warm, faceted cluster of light rather than a single uniform shade, and it holds real presence even when switched off. Picture it hung low over a dining table, its layered glass catching candlelight and conversation in equal measure, or dropped down a stairwell or double height hallway where its full three tiers have room to unfold.

Amber glass and brass

Each glass piece is amber orange, slightly organic in shape, with a naturally mottled, almost hand blown texture that scatters light rather than throwing it in one direction. The glass sits on brass finished arms, so the metalwork reads warm rather than cool, and the overall effect pairs comfortably with timber furniture, brass hardware, aged leather and deep, saturated wall colours. It is a shape that leans traditional in silhouette but feels current in its imperfect, artisanal glasswork.

How it works

Sixty six oblong glass pieces are fitted by hand across three tiered brass arms, then wired to take three E14 bulbs (not included); we would recommend a low wattage LED, since the fixture is rated to a maximum of 28W per bulb, and it is dimmable when paired with a compatible dimmer switch. At its widest the fixture spans around 50cm across, and the cable allows the drop to be adjusted from about 35cm up to 170cm, so it can be set for a standard ceiling or a much taller space. It weighs around 10.5kg, so a secure ceiling fixing point matters, and because it is a hardwired 240v mains fixture, installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician. As every glass piece is fitted to order by hand, please allow around 65 to 90 days between ordering and delivery.

Where it works best

Its scale and adjustable drop make it a natural fit for dining rooms, entrance halls and stairwells with some height to play with, anywhere you want a single fixture to act as the room's focal point rather than blend into the background. It also suits a kitchen island or a living room with a high or vaulted ceiling, where the three tiers of glass have space to spread out and catch the light from more than one angle.
