The Masthead 1 Light Wall Light brings a crisp, modern twist to Hinkley's nautical inspired range. This version pairs Polished Chrome with Black detailing, giving the classic Masthead shape a cooler, more contemporary edge than the brass version in the same collection.

A steel frame in Polished Chrome is set off by Black trim, with a clear glass shade that lets the light spread cleanly along the wall. The cool tone finish suits modern bathrooms and hallways, and pairs naturally with chrome taps, mirrors and other fittings already in the room.

How it works

This fixture takes one E27 LED bulb, which is not supplied. It's dimmable if you fit a dimmable bulb. The fitting is Class I, so it requires an earthed connection. We always recommend a qualified electrician installs this fitting. It's wall mounted and may need some simple assembly on arrival.

The story behind Hinkley

Hinkley started out in 1922 as a small outdoor lantern maker in Cleveland, Ohio, with a debut catalogue of just 14 products. The Masthead's clean, nautical lines still echo that outdoor heritage, even in a version built for indoor bathrooms and hallways. Stanley Wiedemer took over the company after founder Phil Hinkley died in 1937, and his family ran it for decades until a fourth generation, Kristi, Jess and Eric Wiedemer, began taking on leadership roles around 2000. Since 2012, Elstead Lighting has manufactured and adapted Hinkley's designs for the UK, converting fittings like this one to 220 to 240V wiring with full CE certification.
