The Hollis 5 light chandelier is a semi-flush fitting designed for rooms where a hanging pendant would sit too low. Five etched opal glass globes are arranged around a black frame with a width of 81.3cm, giving it real presence without needing extra drop.

The frame is finished in black steel, paired with five etched opal glass globes that diffuse light evenly rather than showing bare bulbs. The combination gives a bold, slightly retro look that works equally well against light or dark walls.

How it works

This chandelier takes five E14 bulbs, which aren't included, so you'll need to add them to your order. It's dimmable if you fit dimmable bulbs. The fitting is Class I, so it needs to be earthed. We always recommend a qualified electrician installs this fitting.

With an IP44 rating, this chandelier is suitable for bathroom zone 2 and the area outside the zones, so check the bathroom lighting zones and regulations before you buy. The story behind Hinkley

Hinkley started out in 1922 as a small outdoor lantern maker in Cleveland, Ohio, when Phil R. Hinkley launched a debut catalogue of just 14 products. The Wiedemer family took over the business in the 1930s, and by the time Rick Wiedemer Jr joined in 1969 as the third generation, the range had grown well beyond its lantern beginnings into pieces like this Hollis chandelier. Since 2012, Elstead Lighting has manufactured Hinkley's designs for the UK and Europe, converting fittings such as this one to 220 to 240V wiring with full CE certification. Around 2019 the company expanded further into ceiling fans and simplified its name from Hinkley Lighting to just Hinkley.
