The frame is finished in black steel, giving it a strong, adaptable look that suits both traditional and modern schemes. Each of the three shades is made from clear seeded glass, with the same gently bubbled texture found throughout the Hollis range, so the light it casts has a soft, textured quality rather than a hard, flat glow.

How it works

This fitting takes three E14 LED bulbs, which are not supplied, so you will need to add three to your order. It is dimmable as long as you fit dimmable LED bulbs. The fitting is wired to a standard wall box and is rated Class I, which means it requires an earthed connection. We always recommend a qualified electrician installs this fitting.

The story behind Hinkley

Hinkley started out in 1922 as a small outdoor lantern maker in Cleveland, Ohio, founded by Phil R. Hinkley with a debut catalogue of just 14 products. The company has stayed in the same family ever since, passing from the Wiedemers who bought it in the 1930s down through three more generations. Since 2012, Elstead Lighting has manufactured and adapted Hinkley's designs for the UK and Europe, converting fittings like this one to 220 to 240V wiring with full CE certification. The Hollis collection's Art Deco detailing reflects the era Hinkley itself grew up in, almost a century ago.
