The Hollis 2 Light Wall Light pairs two opal glass shades with a steel frame finished in Heritage Brass, a warmer take on this Art Deco inspired design. The two lamps sit side by side on a compact backplate, which makes this a good choice for a pair either side of a mirror or spaced along a hallway wall.

The frame is steel finished in Heritage Brass, a warm, softly aged brass tone that suits traditional and transitional interiors. The two opal glass shades spread the light evenly rather than casting a direct glare, so the fitting reads as a soft, glowing pair rather than two bare bulbs. The wider Hollis collection is also available in white and gold finishes, if you want to match a different scheme.

How it works

This two light fitting takes 2 x E14 bulbs, which aren't included, so you'll need to add two to your order. It's dimmable if you fit dimmable bulbs, and it installs onto a standard wall box. We always recommend a qualified electrician installs this fitting. It's a Class I fitting, which means it needs an earthed connection.

Where it works best

With an IP44 rating, this wall light is suitable for use in bathroom zone 2 and the outside zone, under the bathroom lighting zones and regulations. It also works well in hallways, on landings, either side of a bedroom mirror, or anywhere you want soft, even wall light.

The story behind Hinkley

Hinkley began in 1922, when Phil R. Hinkley started out making outdoor lanterns in Cleveland, Ohio, with a debut catalogue of just fourteen products. The business stayed within one family for decades, from Stanley Wiedemer taking over in the 1930s to his grandson Rick Wiedemer Jr, who ran the company for fifty years from 1969, and on to the fourth generation of Wiedemers who began taking on leadership roles around 2000. Around 2019 and 2020 the company shortened its name from Hinkley Lighting to simply Hinkley, the same period it expanded into ceiling fans. This Hollis wall light, with its traditional brass finish, is part of the range that Elstead Lighting has manufactured and adapted for UK wiring and CE certification since 2012.

Is this wall light dimmable? Yes, as long as you fit dimmable E14 bulbs. Standard, non dimmable bulbs will not dim even with a compatible dimmer switch fitted.
