Two lights, one Art Deco statement

The Hollis 2 Light Wall Light carries the original 1920s Art Deco character of the Hollis range across two clear seeded glass shades on a single steel backplate. It's the wider sibling to the single light Hollis, giving a fuller spread of light wherever you need more than one glow.

Heritage Brass and seeded glass

The steel frame is finished in Heritage Brass, a warm, slightly aged gold tone that sits well in both traditional and modern rooms. Each shade is clear seeded glass, and the small bubbles and imperfections in the glass soften the light rather than giving a plain, uniform beam.

How it works

This fitting takes two E14 LED bulbs, sold separately, and fixes to a standard wall box. It's a Class I fitting, which needs to be properly earthed. We always recommend a qualified electrician installs this fitting. It will only dim if you fit dimmable LED bulbs; with standard bulbs it will not.

Where it works best

With an IP44 rating, this light is suitable for bathroom zone 2 and outside zone under the bathroom lighting zones and regulations, so it can go above a bathroom mirror or vanity unit as well as in a hallway, living room, or either side of a fireplace.

The story behind Hinkley

Hinkley traces back to 1922, when Phil R. Hinkley opened a small outdoor lantern workshop in Cleveland, Ohio, with a debut catalogue of just 14 products. After Phil fell ill in the 1930s, travelling salesman Stanley Wiedemer bought into the business, then took it over outright after Phil's death in 1937 and moved his own family to Cleveland to run it. The Wiedemers have kept it family led ever since, from Stanley's grandson Rick joining in 1969 through to the fourth generation, Kristi, Jess and Eric, taking on leadership roles from around 2000. A fitting like this Hollis, built to Hinkley's design and adapted for UK wiring by Elstead Lighting since 2012, carries that century of continuity into a British bathroom or hallway.

Is this light dimmable? Yes, but only if you fit dimmable LED bulbs. With standard non-dimmable bulbs, it will not dim on a dimmer circuit.
