Hinkley Ainsley Single Wall Light - Burnished Brass

This single Ainsley wall light carries the same traditional silhouette and retro modern turned cups as the rest of the range, but in a warmer Burnished Brass finish. A single cased opal glass shade sits within an elegant Burnished Brass trim ring, giving it a softer, more vintage feel than the chrome version.

Finish and materials

Burnished Brass brings warmth to period bathrooms, cloakrooms and hallways, and pairs well with brass taps, mirror frames and other warm metal accents. The opal glass shade is cased to diffuse light evenly rather than showing the bulb directly.

How it works

This is a single wall mounted light that fixes flush to the wall on a standard plate. This fitting doesn't come with a bulb, so you'll need to add one to your order.

Where it works best

Ainsley carries a genuine IP44 rating, making this Burnished Brass version suitable for bathroom zones 2 and outside zone, as covered in our bathroom lighting zones and regulations guide. It also works well as an accent light in a dressing room or hallway with warmer, traditional decor.

The story behind Hinkley

In 2019, Hinkley Lighting acquired Regency Ceiling Fans and simplified its name from Hinkley Lighting to simply "Hinkley," part of a broader effort to modernise the business while keeping the same family ownership that had guided it since the 1920s. That family, now in its fourth generation under Jess Wiedemer, still designs around the same principles of thoughtful design and quality craftsmanship that shaped Ainsley and the rest of the current range. Since 2012, Elstead Lighting has adapted these designs for the UK market, including the wiring and certification needed for this Burnished Brass wall light.
