Scaled up to 39cm, the Ausi 14 makes a genuine statement over a dining table, in a double height stairwell, or as a focal point in a hotel lobby or restaurant. Its Blonde finish cardboard is laser cut into a faceted, sculptural form, hand assembled and bonded with non-toxic adhesive before being treated with a non-toxic fire retardant, so the honeyed tones glow amber once lit and throw intricate shadow patterns across ceiling and walls. Slight variation between shades is part of the appeal, a reminder that this piece was shaped by hand rather than machine. Hardwired with a fabric cord and canopy, drop height is adjusted at installation to suit the space.
