The story behind Feiss

Across three generations, the Feiss family business grew from a single small operation into one of America's best known names in decorative lighting, its range eventually running from chandeliers and pendants to wall lights and outdoor fittings. It began in 1955, when Murray Feiss set up in the South Bronx, New York, wiring imported European porcelain figurines into lamp bases and having his mother, Rose, hand sew the shades. The Feiss design heritage today sits within Visual Comfort & Co., and Elstead Lighting has represented the brand across the UK and Europe since 2012, adapting collections including Paulson for 220 to 240V electrical systems. Paulson leans on a vintage inspired silhouette, its glass shades built from rows of individual clear glass rods rather than a single moulded piece, a detail that sets it apart from Feiss's more classically ornamented ranges, here in this smaller two light flush version.
