How it works

This fitting doesn't come with a bulb, so you'll need to add one to your order. Because the bulb is central to the design and left exposed, Edison style LED bulbs are a good choice.

Where it works best

Nico's large pendant works well as a single statement fitting over a dining table or kitchen island, where its bigger scale can be fully appreciated. It's designed for general indoor use.

The story behind Feiss

Hand welding is central to how Nico's cage profile comes together, a modern technique quite removed from the small scale beginnings of the Feiss name in 1955, when Murray Feiss wired imported European porcelain figurines into lamp bases in the South Bronx and his mother Rose hand sewed the shades. Over three generations, that family business became one of America's best known names in decorative lighting, its output ranging from chandeliers and pendants to wall lights and outdoor fittings, and its design heritage now sits within Visual Comfort & Co. Since 2012, Elstead Lighting has represented Feiss in the UK and Europe, adapting collections such as Nico, here in its larger pendant form, for 220 to 240V electrical systems.
