The story behind Feiss

Hand sewn shades, stitched by Rose Feiss, finished the earliest lamps her son Murray built around imported European porcelain figurines, wired into bases in the South Bronx workshop he opened in 1955. Three generations later, that workshop had grown into one of America's best known decorative lighting names, spanning chandeliers, pendants, wall lights and outdoor fittings, its heritage now part of Visual Comfort & Co. Elstead Lighting has represented Feiss across the UK and Europe since 2012, adapting its designs for 220 to 240V electrical systems. Huguenot Lake, in Burnished Brass, takes a classic reading of its early Colonial motif, its circular fitters paired here with clear seeded glass for a warmer, more traditional finish.
