The story behind Feiss

A company that now sits within Visual Comfort & Co. started, back in 1955, as one man's small operation: Murray Feiss wiring imported European porcelain figurines into lamp bases in the South Bronx, his mother Rose hand sewing the shades to finish them. Three generations of the same family carried that operation to become one of America's best known decorative lighting names, spanning chandeliers, pendants, wall lights and outdoor fittings, with Elstead Lighting representing the brand across the UK and Europe since 2012 and adapting its designs for 220 to 240V electrical systems. In Burnished Brass, Huguenot Lake leans into a more classic reading of its early Colonial motif, pairing circular fitters with clear seeded glass for a warmer, more traditional finish.
