The story behind Feiss

There's a long road between the small South Bronx workshop where Murray Feiss began in 1955, wiring imported European porcelain figurines into lamp bases with shades hand sewn by his mother Rose, and the brand's current home within Visual Comfort & Co. In between, three generations of family ownership built Feiss into one of America's best known names in decorative lighting, spanning chandeliers, pendants, wall lights and outdoor fittings. Since 2012, Elstead Lighting has represented the brand across the UK and Europe, adapting its ranges, Huguenot Lake included, for 220 to 240V electrics. In Burnished Brass, Huguenot Lake leans into a more classic reading of that early Colonial motif, pairing those circular fitters with clear seeded glass for a warmer, more traditional finish.
