The story behind Feiss

Feiss's story starts in the South Bronx in 1955, where Murray Feiss wired imported European porcelain figurines into lamp bases and his mother Rose hand sewed the shades that went over them. What began as a small family concern grew, across three generations, into one of America's best known names in decorative lighting, its output eventually spanning chandeliers, pendants, wall lights and outdoor fittings, with the design heritage now held within Visual Comfort & Co. Elstead Lighting has represented Feiss in the UK and Europe since 2012, adapting its collections, Hounslow among them, for 220 to 240V wiring. Hounslow itself pairs a simple, elongated glass dome with exposed lamping, here in this flush form finished in Burnished Brass.
