Arts and Crafts banding in a warm bronze semi flush fitting
The Feiss Fusion 3 Light Semi-Flush Fitting takes its structure from Arts and Crafts design, with vertical and horizontal linear banding wrapped around Amber Ribbed glass shades and a matching diffuser. It sits just proud of the ceiling rather than fully flush, giving the banded glass a little more presence in the room.
Grecian bronze finish
In Grecian Bronze, the linear banding has a deep, aged tone that contrasts strongly with the warm amber tint of the ribbed glass. It reads as more traditional in character than the brass finished Fusion pieces, and suits a room with dark woodwork or a period feel.
How it works
Three bulbs sit behind the Amber Ribbed glass, and none are included, so you will need to add three to your order. Moonlight Design recommends that all lighting should be installed by a registered NICEIC electrician, particularly for a multi bulb ceiling fitting like this one.
Where it works best
Sitting just proud of the ceiling, this is suited to a room with standard ceiling heights, whether a dining room, hallway or landing. It is an indoor fitting throughout, so keep it to living spaces rather than anywhere exposed to the weather.
The story behind Feiss
Murray Feiss set up his lighting business in the South Bronx, New York in 1955, building it around imported European porcelain figurines that he wired into lamp bases, with his mother Rose sewing each shade by hand. Three generations of the family carried that business forward, growing it into one of America's best known decorative lighting names, spanning chandeliers, pendants, wall lights and outdoor fittings. The Feiss design heritage today sits within Visual Comfort & Co., and Elstead Lighting has represented the brand in the UK and Europe since 2012, adapting collections including Fusion for 220 to 240V electrical systems. Fusion itself draws on Arts & Crafts styling, its vertical and horizontal linear banding designed to sit comfortably in both traditional and modern rooms, here in a deep Grecian Bronze.
