The Cotswold Lane 2 light medium wall lantern brings two lamps into one wall mounted fitting, giving a stronger, more even spread of light than the single small lantern. It carries the same antique gas lantern look across the range, with architectural moulding above each pane of clear bevelled glass.

The black finish gives the frame a formal, traditional character that works well against period brickwork or stone, while the clear bevelled glass adds a subtle sparkle rather than a flat, plain look. Being a two light fitting, it throws noticeably more light than the single lantern in the range.

How it works

This lantern doesn't come with bulbs, so you'll need to add two to your order. Given it's an outdoor electrical fitting, we'd recommend a registered NICEIC electrician handles the installation and weatherproofs the wall entry point.

Where it works best

With an IP44 rating, it suits covered outdoor spots such as porches and entrance porticos rather than fully exposed positions. The extra light output makes it a good option for a wider porch, a double fronted door, or anywhere that needs more than a single lamp can give.

The story behind Feiss

There's a reason Feiss reads as such an established name in decorative lighting: the business Murray Feiss founded in the South Bronx in 1955, built around imported European porcelain figurines and shades hand sewn by his mother Rose, spent three generations growing into one of America's most recognised producers of chandeliers, pendants, wall lights and outdoor fittings. Today that heritage sits within Visual Comfort & Co, while in the UK and Europe, Elstead Lighting has represented Feiss since 2012, adapting the range, this Cotswold Lane wall lantern included, for 220 to 240V electrics. The antique gas lantern is Cotswold Lane's clear reference point, its architectural moulding and bevelled glass giving it a more formal, traditional character than some of Feiss's plainer outdoor ranges.
