The Perla is a small, sculptural wall light designed for Faro Barcelona. A clear glass outer bubble wraps around an opal white inner globe, so the light appears to float inside a droplet of water. It reads more like a piece of jewellery for the wall than a purely functional fitting, and its compact proportions make it easy to place where space is tight.

The chrome finish

This version sets the glass against a polished chrome backplate. The mirror bright metal catches and bounces light, which suits contemporary bathrooms and cloakrooms finished in tile, glass or gloss. The square plate sits flush to the wall and keeps all the attention on the glass sphere in front of it.

How it works

Perla is a mains wall light that takes a single G9 bulb of up to 6W, supplied without a bulb so you can pick your preferred brightness and warmth. It is hardwired, so it should be fitted by a qualified electrician. With an IP44 rating it is protected against splashing water from any direction, which also means it is suitable for use in a bathroom. Where it works best

Mounted above or beside a mirror, Perla gives soft, even light for everyday grooming without harsh glare. A pair either side of a mirror creates a balanced, hotel style arrangement. It is equally at home in a hallway, above a console, or beside a bed for a gentle bedside glow.

Perla measures approximately 11.5cm in diameter and projects around 15.5cm out from the wall once fitted, so it sits forward enough to frame a mirror nicely on either side.

What bulb does Perla take, and is it included?
Perla takes a single G9 bulb rated up to 6W maximum. Faro does not supply a bulb with the fitting, so you can choose the brightness and warmth you prefer within that limit.
