The chrome finish

This version pairs the white glass shade with a bright, mirror polished chrome base. The reflective chrome keeps the look cool and crisp, catching surrounding light and sitting comfortably against white tiling, glossy surfaces and clean modern joinery. It is the sharpest, most reflective of the three Moy finishes, where the bronze leans warm and traditional and the gold adds a softer metallic glow. If your scheme is built around chrome or polished steel taps, handles and mirror frames, the chrome Moy ties in without drawing attention to itself.

How it works

Moy uses an integrated LED module, so there is no separate bulb to buy or replace. Faro lists it as a 4W LED with a warm 3000K colour temperature, and the driver needed to run it is included. Light passes through the white glass diffuser and spreads softly in all directions, which is why it works as ambient and accent light rather than a task spotlight. This is a hardwired mains fitting for wall or ceiling, so Moonlight Design recommends installation by a registered NICEIC electrician. Faro does not list the Moy as dimmable, so it is best treated as a fixed output fitting.
