A softly glowing glass orb in warm bronze
The Faro Moy is a compact round wall and ceiling light built around a plump opal glass globe that sits proud of the wall like a small illuminated sphere. In this bronze version, the glass is framed by a brushed bronze backplate and finished with a matching bronze disc on the outer face, so the fitting reads as a warm metallic accent even before it is switched on. Designed by Nahtrang, it gives a gentle, even wash of light rather than a harsh beam, which makes it as much a decorative detail as a source of illumination.
The bronze finish
Bronze is the warmest of the three Moy finishes, and it behaves quite differently from the cooler chrome or the brighter gold. The muted, slightly smoky metal picks up the 3000K warm white glow beautifully and leans into earthy, heritage and natural palettes: think warm plaster walls, timber, stone and darker tiling. Against an opal white globe the bronze detailing feels grounded and tactile rather than glitzy, so it settles happily into calmer, more traditional schemes where a polished metal might feel too sharp.
How it works
Moy uses an integrated LED, so there is no separate bulb to buy or replace. The light source is built in and supplied ready to use. According to Faro, it draws 4W at a warm 3000K colour temperature with a colour rendering index above 80 and a stated output of around 300 lumens, which is well suited to accent and ambient roles rather than as a room's only light. Faro does not list the Moy as dimmable, so it is best treated as a fixed output fitting. It is a Class II mains fitting, double insulated and requiring no earth connection, and it can be mounted on either a wall or a ceiling. Moonlight Design recommends installation by a registered NICEIC electrician.
Where it works best
Because it carries an IP44 rating, Moy is suitable for use in a bathroom, where it works well flanking a mirror, over a basin or as a run of soft points across a wall. It is equally at home beyond the bathroom: a pair either side of a bed, a cluster along a hallway, or a single globe as a quiet ceiling light in a smaller room. If you are planning bathroom lighting, it is worth checking our guide to bathroom lighting zones and regulations to confirm the right position for your space.
About Faro Barcelona
Faro Barcelona began as Lorefar, founded in Barcelona in 1951 by Carlos López López, who built the name from his own surname, his wife's surname Orejudo, and the word faro. The company designs its collections from Castellbisbal on the edge of Barcelona and is known for careful material choices and rigorous LED work. The Moy reflects that with its simple pairing of opal glass and finished steel.

Questions People Ask
Can the Faro Moy be used in a bathroom?
Yes. The Faro Moy is IP44 rated, which means it is protected against splashing water from any direction, making it suitable for bathroom use in the appropriate zone. Confirm the zone for your intended position before fixing it.
How far does the Faro Moy stick out from the wall?
The Moy is 140mm across and projects 130mm from the wall, sitting on a 90mm diameter base, so it reads as a full sphere rather than a flat disc and needs clearance in a narrow hallway or beside a door.
Is the Faro Moy bright enough to light a room on its own?
No. Faro states an output of around 300 lumens from a 4W integrated LED, which suits accent and ambient lighting such as flanking a mirror or a bed, so it works best alongside a main light rather than replacing one.
Can the Faro Moy be fitted to a ceiling as well as a wall?
Yes. The same fitting mounts to either surface through its 90mm base plate, so it can be used as a small flush ceiling light in a compact room or a run of wall points.
