Twenty one tiny G9 capsule lamps sit cradled in folded brass and cognac glass, creating a sculptural form that reads as much as decoration as it does as a light source. The warm cognac glass and brass work together to throw soft, amber tinted light downwards, which means the visual impact of the fitting itself often matches or exceeds the brightness it provides.

How It Works

The twenty one G9 lamps are each rated to 10W maximum, which allows you to run the full array quite brightly if needed, or dial things back with lower wattage capsules. Dimmable G9 bulbs are available, so you can soften the mood once it gets dark. An adaptor is required for safe installation. The fitting is Class I wired, needing an earth connection during setup. IP20 protection means it needs to stay in dry interior spaces away from any moisture.

This is a stairwell or grand hallway light. The drop extends to 526cm, so it can work in high ceilings as well as being shortened for more modest heights. A double height living space or dining room with good ceiling height will also let it breathe. The key is space around it so people can see the form from multiple angles.

Will this give enough light?
It depends on the room and what you want from it. At full brightness with 10W bulbs in all twenty one positions it's quite bright, but the cognac glass naturally softens and warms the light. It often works best as mood lighting rather than task lighting.

Can I adjust the hanging length?
Yes. The drop can be anything up to 526cm, so you can adjust it to suit your ceiling height and the look you want. Shorter drops make it feel more intimate, longer drops turn it into a true statement piece.

Is this a statement piece?
Absolutely. This fitting is as much sculpture as light source. If you're looking for something subtle, this isn't it.
