What does smoked glass look like when it's off?
The smoked glass has a soft grey tint to it even when the light is off, so it reads as a subtle design feature in the room rather than disappearing entirely.

Can I use regular (non dimmable) bulbs?
Yes, but you won't be able to dim the light unless you use dimmable G9 bulbs with a compatible dimmer switch. Regular bulbs work fine if you're happy with a fixed light level.
