Compact Cylinders, Bright Clean Light
Sitting neat and close to the ceiling, this semi flush uses short cylinder shades in frosted glass that create a soft, shadowless light without absorbing too much brightness. The French gold frame feels warm against the neutral frosted glass, and the compact proportions keep the whole fitting from dominating a room. Telescopic arms adjust the drop to match your ceiling height or personal preference.
Choosing Your Finish
Frosted glass scatters light in all directions, preventing harsh glare while maintaining brightness, unlike smoked glass which mutes the light more substantially. French gold provides a subtle warmth that sits comfortably in both contemporary and traditional schemes. This same design exists in other finish combinations across the range if you prefer a different metalwork tone or glass type.
How It Works
Three G9 sockets sit within the short cylinders, letting you select bulb warmth and brightness. The fitting runs on Class I electrical wiring, which requires an earth connection during installation. Being IP20 rated, it must stay indoors in dry spaces, away from kitchens with lots of steam and any bathrooms or moisture rich areas.
Where It Works Best
Hallways, landings and bedrooms are natural fits for semi flush lights, especially when you want something more interesting than a basic flush fitting but a pendant would hang inconveniently low. It works equally well in living rooms and kitchens where the bright, even frosted light provides useful ambient illumination without drama.
Design Details
The short cylinders keep visual weight to a minimum while still creating a sense of form and intention. Frosted glass does functional work here, diffusing light evenly across the room rather than throwing it harshly downward. The iron frame and glass shades work as a composed unit that reads finished and complete rather than afterthought decoration.

Questions People Ask
How is frosted glass different from smoked glass?
Frosted glass is clear and bright but diffused, scattering light evenly. Smoked glass has a darker tone and absorbs more light, creating softer pools of illumination rather than bright general light.
Is this a good choice for a hallway?
Yes. The compact proportions and upward light spread make it perfect for hallways where a pendant would create a hazard. It provides enough light to navigate safely while adding visual interest to a space that might otherwise be plain.
Can I use this in a low ceiling kitchen?
Absolutely. The short cylinders and 82cm maximum drop keep it from overwhelming a standard kitchen ceiling height. At a drop of 60 70cm above a counter or table you get good task lighting without feeling cramped.
