Streamlined Linear Pendant with Clean Profile
This linear pendant runs three lights along a bar in French gold, with shades that are flattened rather than fully round, giving a slightly lower profile than rounder versions. Clear outer glass pairs with frosted inner globes, so you get the visual clarity of clear glass without the glare of an exposed bulb. The flattened shape adds a touch of contemporary minimalism while keeping the glow soft and comfortable.
Choosing Your Finish
French gold on the bar brings warmth to the metalwork, while the clear and frosted glass combination keeps everything visually open. The contrast between the two glass types works more subtly here than in warmer cognac versions, making this pendant easy to live with in various settings. Other finishes of the linear Tamworth are available if you prefer different metalwork tones.
How It Works
Three G9 lamp holders run horizontally along the bar, each sitting in a flattened shade with a frosted inner globe that diffuses the bulb light. The fitting is Class I, needing an earth connection during installation. Dimmable with the right bulbs and a compatible dimmer, though non-dimmable bulbs won't support dimming even if the fitting is wired to a dimmer switch. IP20 rating restricts this to dry indoor use.
Where It Works Best
A kitchen island or long dining table is the natural home, where three lights spread evenly along a run give you good coverage without pooling brightness in the middle. The flattened shades have a more streamlined silhouette than rounder pendants, so it reads as contemporary while still delivering comfortable, useful light. A longer hallway or breakfast bar would also work well.
Design Details
Iron and glass with the detail of flattened shades rather than full spheres. It's the kind of subtle distinction that affects how the fitting sits visually in a space: slightly less ornamental, slightly more spare. The frosted inner globes do the work of softening the light, while the clear outer glass keeps the visual line clean and uninterrupted.

Questions People Ask
What's the difference between the flattened and round shades?
The flattened version has a slightly lower profile and more streamlined look, while still diffusing the light evenly. If you prefer a fuller round silhouette, that version is also available in the Tamworth range.
Is the light soft or bright?
The frosted inner globes soften the bulb glow into something comfortable, so it's not harsh even with all three lights on. But because the outer glass is clear rather than tinted, the light itself reads as bright rather than warm.
How long is the bar itself?
The bar measures 62cm across, so it suits kitchen islands and dining tables of decent length. The lights can be repositioned at installation if you want to adjust the spacing.
