Fabula Norton Square Bathroom Ceiling Light - Painted Bronze & Clear Diamond Pattern Glass IP44

A Dark Frame Around Clear, Textured Glass

The painted bronze frame on this bathroom ceiling light is dark and warm. It surrounds four panels of clear glass with a fine, rippled pattern, and in the photos the lamps are visible glowing behind it. The overall look is a little industrial and a little classic. It is square, flush to the ceiling and rated IP44.

Choosing Your Finish and Glass

The dark bronze makes the clear glass stand out, so this is the most graphic of the nine Norton square combinations. It suits bathrooms with black fittings, textured tiles or exposed brick. Choose brown or grey faux alabaster instead for a softer, milkier light. Brass and satin nickel frames are made in the same design.

Sizes and Specifications

How It Works

Two E14 lamp holders sit in the 25cm size and four in the 40cm size. The maximum for each lamp is 10W. Lamps are not supplied. Because the glass is clear, you will see the lamps, so a decorative style looks good here. Dimming works with dimmable lamps and a compatible dimmer. This fitting is Class I and needs an earth connection. We would always recommend having it installed by a qualified electrician.

Where It Works Best

This is a bathroom ceiling light with an IP44 rating, which makes it suitable for bathroom use. Our guide to bathroom lighting zones has more on where IP44 fittings can go. It would also suit a cloakroom, a utility room or a hallway with exposed brick or dark paintwork. Pick the 25cm size for tight spaces and the 40cm size to light a larger room properly.

Questions People Ask

Is the glass on this bronze ceiling light really clear?
It is clear rather than milky, with a fine rippled pattern across the surface. The pattern scatters the light, but you can still see the lamps behind it.

Can it be fitted in a bathroom?
Yes, it is rated IP44 and is suitable for bathroom use. Our blog guide to bathroom lighting zones explains where IP44 fittings can go.

What lamps does it need?
E14 lamps of up to 10W each. The 25cm size holds two and the 40cm size holds four. They are not included.

Does it suit a dark colour scheme?
The painted bronze frame is dark and warm, so it sits well with black taps, dark tiles and deep paint colours.

Can I wire it in myself?
We would always recommend having it installed by a qualified electrician. It is a Class I fitting and requires an earth connection.
