Fabula Norton Square Bathroom Ceiling Light - Brass & Clear Diamond Pattern Glass IP44

Rippled Clear Glass in a Slim Brass Frame

This brass bathroom ceiling light swaps the usual milky glass for clear glass with a fine, all over pattern. In the photos it reads as a rippled, pebbled texture that catches the light on every side, and the lamps can be seen glowing through it. A pale diffuser sits underneath. The shape is square and flush to the ceiling, and the IP44 rating means it is suitable for bathrooms.

Choosing Your Frame and Glass

Brass is the warm choice here, a soft golden tone that works with brass taps, shower fittings and mirror frames. The clear diamond pattern glass is the most open of the three glass options, because you see more of the lamps through it, so pick lamps you like the look of. If you would rather have a gentler, milkier glow, the same square design comes with brown or grey faux alabaster glass. It is also made with painted bronze and satin nickel frames.

Sizes and Specifications

How It Works

Inside are two E14 lamp holders in the 25cm size and four in the 40cm size, taking lamps of up to 10W each. The lamps are not supplied. As this glass shows them off, a decorative E14 lamp can be part of the look. Fit dimmable lamps with a compatible dimmer switch if you want to dim it. The fitting is Class I. It requires an earth connection. We would always recommend having it installed by a qualified electrician.

Where It Works Best

This one is suitable for bathroom use, thanks to its IP44 rating. Our guide to bathroom lighting zones covers where IP44 fittings can go. The textured glass and brass frame suit a bathroom with brass taps and fittings, a period style cloakroom or a hallway that could do with a little sparkle. The 25cm size suits a small bathroom or downstairs loo, while the 40cm size suits a roomier bathroom or a landing.

Questions People Ask

What does the clear diamond pattern glass look like?
It is clear glass with a fine, rippled texture all over. In the photos the pattern scatters the light, and you can see the lamps glowing behind it.

Can this brass ceiling light go in a bathroom?
Yes. It has an IP44 rating, which makes it suitable for bathroom use. The guide to bathroom lighting zones on our blog explains where IP44 fittings can go.

How many lamps does the 40cm size take?
The 40 x 40cm size has four E14 lamp holders and the 25 x 25cm size has two. Each holder takes a lamp of up to 10W.

Will the lamps be visible through the glass?
Yes, to a degree. The glass is clear rather than milky, so the shape of the lamps shows through the pattern. A decorative E14 lamp suits it well.

Do I need an electrician to fit it?
We would always recommend having it installed by a qualified electrician. It is a Class I fitting and needs an earth connection.
