Fabula Leycroft Up & Down LED Indoor Wall Light - Brass IP54

A Slim Brass Tube That Lights the Wall Up and Down

This indoor LED wall light is a slim brass cylinder, 26cm tall and only 6cm wide, held on a small rectangular back plate. A fine grooved ring marks each end of the tube, and the finish is a soft, satin brass rather than a mirror shine. Two integrated LEDs send light up and down the wall, and the IP54 rating means it can be used in a bathroom as well as in dry rooms.

Choosing Your Finish

Brass is the warm, classic choice in the Leycroft range, and in the photos it has a brushed, golden look that suits taps, mirror frames and cabinet handles in a similar tone. Unlike its two siblings in painted matt bronze and satin white, which are made for outdoor walls, this brass version is for indoor use only. There is one size, and the single tube design keeps it neat enough to fit beside a mirror or in a tight hallway.

How It Works

Two 3W LEDs are built into the fitting, giving 300 lumens (plus or minus 5%) of warm white light at 3000K, with a CRI above 80. The supplier lists a fairly narrow 60 degree beam angle. Because the LEDs are integrated, there are no bulbs to buy or replace, and it is not dimmable. This is a Class I fitting and it requires an earth connection. We would always recommend having it installed by a qualified electrician.

Where It Works Best

With an IP54 rating on an indoor fitting, this brass bathroom wall light is suitable for bathroom use. You can read more about where fittings of this rating can go in our guide to bathroom lighting zones. It also works as a pair either side of a mirror, up a hallway wall, beside a bed or along a staircase, where soft up and down light is more useful than a single bright spot. The slim 6cm width suits narrow walls and tight spaces.
