A Classic Lantern Shape for the Front of the House
Highland takes its shape from traditional lanterns, with a rounded aluminium frame wrapped around a clear polycarbonate diffuser. Finished in anthracite, it swaps the usual black or brass for a more contemporary charcoal tone, so the classic silhouette works just as comfortably on a modern render front as it does on a period porch.
Choosing Your Finish
This one is finished in a deep anthracite grey with silver undertones, giving it a slightly softer look than a flat matt black. Other exterior finishes tend to be available across the range, so if anthracite isn't quite the tone you want, it's worth checking what else is offered.
How It Works
It's designed for a single E27 GLS bulb, 20W maximum, which is sold separately rather than supplied with the fitting. Dimming is possible if you fit dimmable bulbs alongside a compatible dimmer switch. Electrically it's Class I, so it needs an earth connection when it's wired in. The IP65 rating means it's protected against dust and low pressure water jets from any direction, which is what makes it tough enough to sit unprotected on an exterior wall.
Where It Works Best
As an outdoor fitting, Highland is built for porches, front doors and other exposed exterior walls where it needs to stand up to rain and wind. Design Details
The frame is die cast aluminium, chosen for outdoor fittings because it resists corrosion far better than plain steel, paired with a polycarbonate diffuser that's tougher than glass and better suited to a spot where it might get knocked. The rounded lantern shape is a deliberate nod to traditional exterior lighting, updated here with a cleaner, more contemporary finish.
