A Slim Wall Light Built for the Outdoors

This single wall lamp from the Harwater range has a slender tubular body finished in matt brown, paired with a clear polycarbonate diffuser that lets light spill gently along its length. The shape is understated rather than showy, which makes it easy to place beside a front door, along a garden wall or either side of a garage without it competing with the brickwork around it.

Choosing Your Finish

Here the body comes in a matt brown that reads as a warm, earthy neutral against most brick, render or timber cladding, letting the clear glass style diffuser do most of the visual work. The Harwater range is also produced in other finishes, so if brown isn't quite what you need for your exterior, it's worth checking what else is available across the collection.

How It Works

It takes a single E27 bulb, 20W maximum, which is not supplied. The fitting is dimmable provided you fit dimmable bulbs and use it with a compatible dimmer switch. Wiring is to Class I standard, so it needs to be connected to earth as part of installation. With an IP54 rating, it's protected against dust and against water splashing from any direction, which is what allows it to be mounted outdoors in the rain as well as in damp indoor spaces.

Where It Works Best

This is first and foremost an outdoor fitting, at home beside an entrance, along a garden wall or spaced out across a driveway. Because the IP54 rating also covers splashing water, it's suitable for bathroom zones 1 and 2 too, so the same design can be used indoors in a shower room or wet area if you want to match finishes. Design Details

Made from die cast aluminium with a polycarbonate diffuser, this fitting favours a simple tube shape over anything ornate, which keeps it durable and easy to keep clean outdoors. The construction is built with weather resistance in mind first, with the design language kept deliberately plain so it doesn't fight with whatever's around it, whether that's a modern render finish or an older brick wall.
