How It Works

It takes a single E27 bulb, 20W maximum, sold separately, and is angled to throw light downward rather than glaring outward. Dimming works if you fit a dimmable bulb alongside a compatible dimmer switch. Wiring is to Class I standards, meaning an earth connection is required. The IP44 rating means it's protected against splashing water from any angle, so it copes well with rain outdoors.

Where It Works Best

With that IP44 rating, this lamp is equally happy mounted outside by a front door or along a garden wall as it is inside, where it also meets the standard for bathroom zones 1 and 2 should you want the same look near a bath or shower.
