Appleby takes its shape from industrial pipework, with matt black frames woven through by antique brass tubes that run off at odd angles in every direction. Eight G9 lamp holders sit tucked inside cognac tinted glass globes, so the light comes through with a warm amber cast rather than a bare, clinical glow.
As a floor lamp, it has enough scale and character to anchor a living room or study, especially in a scheme with an industrial or reclaimed feel. The tangle of brass tubing against the dark frame gives it real presence even before it is switched on, making it as much a sculptural piece as a light source.
