A Sharply Angled Brass Arm And A Soft Ikat Shade
The Diamond Angle wall light takes a stepped diamond backplate in antique brass, adds a crisp angled arm and tops it with a 16cm pleated shade in a neutral ikat print. It is an antique brass wall light with a slightly more graphic, architectural feel than most traditional brackets, warmed up by a shade in washed pinks, taupes and off white.
Cast Steel, Brass Patina And A Hand Pleated Ikat Print
The wall back is hand crafted from solid cast steel and given a brass patina finish, so the surface has a gentle, lived in mottling rather than a polished shine. A straight steel arm leaves the centre of the backplate and turns upward to an authentic brass B22 lamp holder.
The shade is handmade, with gathered pleats on a tapered frame, and cut from digitally printed faux silk in a blurred ikat stripe of pink, taupe and cream. It has taped edges and a plain inner lining. When lit, the print glows warm and diffuse. When off, it reads as a quiet, soft pattern against the wall.
How It Works
This is a hardwired, wall mounted fitting rated Class I. It takes one B22 bayonet LED bulb of up to 7W, which is not supplied. It is dimmable when paired with a dimmable LED bulb and a compatible dimmer switch. The shade comes in its own box and sits over the lamp holder once the wall fitting is in place, so expect two boxes and a little self assembly.

Where It Works Best
It measures 25.5cm high and 16cm wide and projects 19.5cm from the wall, which makes it a compact accent light rather than a main light source. It suits a bedside wall, works nicely as a pair either side of a mirror or chimney breast, and adds softness to a landing or hallway. The pink and taupe tones of the ikat lamp shade sit well with cream and grey panelling, warm whites and pale timber.
