Elstead Ziggy 1 Light Wall Light - Lacquered Gold

A slice of pattern lit from within

Ziggy's wall light takes the diamond cut backplate that runs through the whole range and pairs it with a tall opal glass cylinder, set just off centre so the pattern behind still does the talking. It reads as much like a small piece of graphic art as a light fitting, with the glow from the bulb picking out the lattice in warm gold.

Lacquered gold on black

The backplate is black underneath, with the repeating diamond lattice and the edge trim finished in a bright lacquered gold that's sealed to resist tarnishing. The glass cylinder in front is a plain frosted opal, so all of the decorative work is left to the metalwork behind it rather than the shade.

How It Works

A single E27 LED bulb sits inside the opal cylinder, bulb not included, and the fitting is rated IP44, so it can go in a bathroom as well as anywhere else in the home provided it stays clear of a direct water jet. Fit a dimmable LED and it will work on a dimmer circuit too, handy if you want to bring the light down low for an evening soak rather than run it at full brightness.
