A lantern that stands on its own

The Wexford pillar lantern brings the look of an old fashioned street lamp down to path height, its hexagonal glass chamber raised on a slim pillar with a stepped square foot. Every face of the lantern is glazed with textured glass set into a diamond pattern of lead, so the light breaks up nicely rather than shining as one flat glare.

Black with a silver edge

The cast metalwork is finished in black with a brushed silver picked out across the mouldings and finial, giving it more depth than a single flat colour. A pointed finial tops the roof, and the whole thing sits on a stepped, slightly flared foot.

How it works

It takes a single E27 bulb, and if you fit a dimmable lamp you can run it from a compatible dimmer switch to soften or lift the light as needed.

Where it works best

Good for marking a path, standing either side of a driveway, or lighting the way to a front door without flooding the whole garden. It reads well on its own or repeated in a pair.
