Bathroom Lighting With Nothing to Hide

There is no shade to speak of here, just a tall bubble glass jar wrapped around the bulb, so the light itself becomes the feature. Morvah is a single arm wall light on a round backplate, built for spaces where you want a wash of soft light rather than a spotlight, bathrooms most of all.

Finished in White

Here the arm and backplate are painted in a clean matte white, a quieter option than the chrome version if your fittings and sanitaryware are already white or brushed nickel. The seeded glass shade stays the same, bubbled and slightly uneven, letting an exposed bulb glow through rather than hiding it away.

Fitting and Use

It takes one E27 bulb, can be mounted facing up or down to suit the wall it is going on, and is wired for Class I mains use. Fit a dimmable bulb and the light will dim with it, handy for softening the room later in the evening.

Where It Works Best

Rated IP44, it is built for bathroom zones, so it works well beside a mirror or above a basin, though the plain white finish also sits comfortably in a hallway, landing or bedroom if you want the same look elsewhere in the house.
