Elstead Morvah Single Bathroom Wall Light - Brushed Brass

A cleaner line for the bathroom

Morvah is a much more pared back fitting than most of Elstead's range, a simple straight arm reaching out from a round wall plate to hold a cylindrical glass shade. The glass has a seeded, bubbled texture that catches whatever bulb you put inside it, and the whole thing has an easy, unfussy look about it.

In Brushed Brass, the metalwork has a warm, satin finish rather than a high shine, which keeps it from feeling too showy above a basin or beside a mirror.

How it works

The arm can be fitted so the shade points up or down, depending on the effect you want and the space you're working with. It takes a single E27 bulb, an Edison style filament bulb suits the open glass particularly well, and it is dimmable if you choose a dimmable bulb. As a Class I fitting it needs to be properly earthed.

Where it works best

With an IP44 rating, Morvah is built for bathroom use, whether that's a single fitting beside a mirror or a pair either side of it. It works equally well in a hallway, bedroom or anywhere else you want the same understated look.

A different side to Elstead

Elstead is known mainly for its traditional lanterns and country house fittings, so Morvah shows a more contemporary strand of the same company, still designed from its Hampshire base. It's a useful option when a scheme calls for something plainer than a classic wall lantern.
