Black polymer built to shrug off salt air

Rather than cast metal and glass, the Kinsale is made from black polymer with clear polycarbonate panels standing in for glass, chosen because it won't corrode, rust or crack the way a traditional lantern can once it's fixed somewhere exposed. The wall bracket, arm and lantern head all share the same matte black finish, so the whole fitting reads as one solid piece rather than assembled parts.

How It Works

One E27 bulb sits inside the faceted lantern head, visible through the clear polycarbonate panels rather than tucked away, and dimmable bulbs can be fitted if you want more control over how much light spills out. The fitting is Class II, so no earth connection is needed at installation.

Where It Works Best

Its downward facing head suits either side of a front door or porch, along a garden or boundary wall, or anywhere you'd rather have light pooling near the ground than glaring out across a garden. The polymer build was designed with coastal and other exposed sites in mind, so it takes wind and salt air better than a traditional metal lantern would.
