The Kinsale Single Pillar Lantern stands just over a metre tall, its six sided lantern head set on a slender post and a solid hexagonal base. It marks out a driveway or front path with the kind of glow that says someone is home, without shouting about it.

Built for black, built to last

This one comes in black polymer with clear polycarbonate panels, a combination chosen for its resistance to corrosion and knocks rather than for looks alone, though the faceted glass does catch the light nicely once the lamp is on. The finish is even across the post, head and base, so it reads as one solid fitting rather than three parts bolted together.

How it works

It takes a single E27 bulb, which sits behind the clear panels and throws light out in every direction through the six sided lantern. Dimmable bulbs can be used if you want to soften the glow on quieter evenings.

Where it works best

Given its 25.5cm footprint and 118cm height, it suits a spot with a bit of breathing room, either side of a driveway entrance, along a garden path, or flanking a front gate. The polymer build was developed with coastal and exposed sites in mind, so it holds up well wherever the weather tends to get stuck in.
