A ribbed glass wall light with room to adjust
The Gunnislake pairs a brushed brass wall plate and arm with a conical, finely ribbed glass shade, the kind of texture that scatters the bulb's light rather than showing it as a single hot point. It comes with two finial lengths, so you can choose between a shorter drop that sits the shade further out from the wall, or a longer drop that stands taller and sits closer in.
Brushed brass, textured glass
The brass has a soft, brushed surface rather than a mirror polish, so it will not show fingerprints the way a bright plated finish does. The glass shade is left completely clear, its fine ribbed texture doing the work of softening the light rather than any tint or frosting.
How It Works
A single G9 bulb sits inside the shade, held on a swivelling brass arm that lets you angle the fitting once it is mounted. The fitting is wired directly into the wall rather than plugged in, so we always recommend a qualified electrician installs it.
Where It Works Best
It suits a pair either side of a bathroom mirror, or a single fitting beside a shower enclosure, where the shorter finial's extra projection keeps the shade clear of the wall. What's the difference between the short and long finial? The short finial sits the shade about 18.1cm out from the wall and stands 20cm tall overall. The long finial pulls the shade in to around 12.8cm out from the wall but takes the overall height up to 26cm, useful if you want the fitting to sit closer to the wall.
Is a bulb included? No. The Gunnislake takes one G9 bulb, and we'd recommend a 3.5W LED.
