The Glenbeigh pillar lantern sits between the low pedestal light and the full height lamp post in the range, its black stem carrying the same round opal globe to just over a metre off the ground. It has enough height to read clearly from across a path or drive, without the scale of a full size post.

Black polymer stem, opal polycarbonate globe

The column and the cage holding the globe are moulded from black polymer rather than cast iron or painted steel, so there is no coating to chip or corrode where a post gets knocked by a car door or a mower. The globe itself is an opal polycarbonate diffuser, chosen to spread the light evenly rather than leave a single bright point showing through the case.

How It Works

A single E27 lamp holder sits inside the globe and takes an E27 LED bulb, which is not supplied. Fit a dimmable LED and Glenbeigh will work on a dimmer circuit. Wiring is to Class II double insulated standards, so the fitting does not rely on an earth connection, and the hexagonal base sits flat on a hard standing or can be fixed down into paving or concrete.

Where It Works Best

Its height suits flanking a front path or gateway, marking the corners of a driveway, or spacing out along a garden boundary, where a run of matching lights does more work than one tall feature post. It is rated IP44 for outdoor use, so it is built to stay out in the weather year round.
