Elstead Eliot Single Bathroom Wall Light- Polished Brass

A quiet column of light

Eliot takes the shape of an old fashioned glass storm cylinder and turns it into a bathroom wall light. The tapered opal glass tube glows evenly along its whole length rather than showing a single bright bulb, so it reads as a soft column of light rather than a point source, an easy fit either side of a mirror or above a basin.

Polished Brass

The circular wall plate, curved ball jointed arm and the ribbed bands at each end of the glass are all finished in Polished Brass, a bright warm gold that holds its shine well against white tiling or paintwork. The opal glass itself stays a clean, solid white whether the light is on or off, rather than showing the bulb through as clear or ribbed glass would.

How It Works

A single G9 LED bulb sits inside the cylinder, and because the glass is opal rather than clear, its light is diffused evenly along the tube instead of glaring from one spot. The arm swings out from the wall plate on a small ball joint, holding the shade slightly proud of the wall so the glass isn't sitting flush against the surface. The bulb itself isn't included, so you'll need to fit a 3W LED G9 before switching on.

Where It Works Best

Its calm, evenly spread glow makes Eliot a good choice for reading a mirror by, whether that's beside a basin for shaving and make up or flanking a medicine cabinet. Does the Eliot wall light come with a bulb? No. It takes a single G9 LED bulb, and we'd recommend a 3W LED to match the fitting, but the bulb itself isn't supplied.

Is the Eliot wall light dimmable? Yes, as long as you fit a dimmable G9 bulb. A non dimmable bulb won't dim even on a dimmer switch circuit.
