Elstead Eliot Single Bathroom Wall Light- Polished Brass

A softly glowing glass cylinder

The Eliot swaps a bare bulb for a tall opal glass cylinder, tapered gently at each end and banded in brass where it meets the fitting. Lit, the whole shade glows evenly rather than showing a single point of light, which gives it a calmer, more diffused character than an open glass design.

Polished Brass

The wall plate, curved arm and the ribbed bands at the top and bottom of the glass are all finished in Polished Brass, a bright warm gold that catches the light well against white paint or tiling. The opal glass stays solid and white looking even when lit, rather than clear or patterned.

How it works

One G9 bulb sits inside the cylinder, and because the glass is opal rather than clear, light comes through softened and spread evenly along the tube rather than as a bright pinpoint. The arm curves out from a circular wall plate on a small ball joint, so the shade sits a little further from the wall than a flush fitting would.

Where it works best

Its gentle, even glow suits it well beside a mirror or over a basin, where a softer light is easier to see by than a bare bulb. It carries an IP44 rating, so it is built with bathroom use in mind.
