Sharp lines, a flower shaped glass

Stand the Dryden next to almost any modern bathroom fitting and it still looks at home. A narrow fluted stem tapers up to a shade shaped like an open flower head, and the whole thing has the crisp, formal look of a design that has not really dated since it was first made.

Polished Chrome

Chrome covers the stem, the ribbed collar under the shade and the oval wall plate, giving a hard, cool shine that reflects the room around it rather than warming it up the way brass would. The glass shade is left clear, so the fitting itself, chrome and bulb together, stays fully on show rather than glowing softly behind frosted glass.

How it works

A single G9 bulb sits in the shade holder, and the flared glass sends light both upward and out into the room. Because the light only projects a short way off the wall, it tucks in neatly beside a mirror or over a basin without eating into the space around it.

Where it works best

It suits a bathroom with plenty of white tile, chrome tapware or a large mirror to bounce light back into. With an IP44 rating, it is designed to be used in a bathroom rather than kept clear of splashes and steam.
