A softly flared glass, lit like an old oil lamp

The Dryden wall light takes its shape from Victorian oil lamps: a slender tapered column rising through a series of turned rings to a trumpet shaped glass shade that flares gently outward at the rim. The G9 bulb sits in full view inside the clear glass, so the fitting reads as a piece of antique lighting rather than a standard bathroom wall light.

Polished Brass

Here the column, shade collar and oval wall plate are all finished in Polished Brass, a bright, warm gold tone with a mirror like shine. Paired with the clear glass shade, it has an open, candlelit character that suits period bathrooms, dressing rooms and cloakrooms where warm metal fittings are already in place.

How It Works

One G9 bulb sits inside the glass shade on a small fitting, throwing light upward and outward through the flared glass rather than straight ahead at eye level. The oval wall plate is compact, so the fitting projects only a little from the wall, useful either side of a mirror where space is tight. It is wired directly into the wall rather than plugged in, so we always recommend a qualified electrician installs it.

Where It Works Best

Mount a pair either side of a bathroom mirror for a symmetrical, dressing table look, or use it singly beside a vanity or in a cloakroom. It carries an IP44 rating, so it is built to withstand the steam and splashes of a bathroom.
