A slender chrome torch for the bathroom wall
Carroll takes the traditional flambeau wall light, a reeded column rising to a flared glass shade, and finishes it in bright polished chrome. It's a shape that has lit bathrooms and hallways for decades without dating, understated enough to sit beside a mirror or along a hallway wall until the light comes on.
Polished chrome and fluted glass
The column and backplate are cast in aluminium and plated to a bright, mirror polished chrome, with fine reeding running down the stem for texture. Standing around 26cm tall and reaching about 23cm out from the wall, it's a compact fitting that won't crowd a small bathroom. Above the column, the shade flares outward in fluted glass, its vertical ribs softening the bulb's light rather than showing it as a single bright point.
How it works
A single G9 bulb sits inside the shade, held out from a stepped chrome rose on a curved arm. Fit a dimmable G9 bulb and the light will respond to a standard dimmer switch, so it can run brighter for grooming or dialled back for an evening bath. This fitting is wired directly into the wall, so we'd always recommend a qualified electrician installs it.
Where it works best
Carroll suits pairs either side of a bathroom mirror or basin, where two fittings give a more even, flattering spread of light than a single overhead spot, though it also works well alone where a bathroom has just one obvious wall for lighting.
