Bowtie takes its name from the shape at the heart of the fitting, two trapezoid forms meeting base to base where the light attaches to the wall. It gives this single sconce a clean, modern look that reads as considered rather than fussy, whether it is standing alone or working as part of a pair.

Matte black with a tapered opal glass shade

The body and circular backplate are finished in a flat matte black, with two decorative fixing caps set either side of the bowtie bracket. Above it, a tapered, square profile shade in frosted opal glass angles outward, catching the light and softening it into a warm, even wash rather than a hard beam.

How It Works

Bowtie takes a single G9 bulb rated up to 3W, which is not included, and runs on Class I wiring. Fit a dimmable G9 bulb and the light responds to a dimmer switch, so the output can be brought down for evening use. Being close fitting to the wall, it sits neatly against the surface rather than projecting far into the room.

Where It Works Best

Bowtie is IP44 rated, so it copes well with the steam and splashes around a bathroom mirror or shower room, and it is just as suited to a hallway, landing or over a boot room sink where a compact, close fitting light is useful.
