Elstead Balance 1 Light Table Lamp - Black & Polished Brass

The Balance table lamp plays with proportion, resting a long horizontal bar on a slim upright stem so the drum shade sits off to one side rather than dead centre above the base.

Black and brass, brought together

A matte black body carries polished brass detailing at the bar ends, the riser and the base ring, while the drum shade is made up in black fabric with a warm gold mirrored lining that glows through once the lamp is switched on.

How it works

Fitted with a single E27 lamp holder, the shade angles light downward and to one side rather than straight up, so it works best as a focused pool of light rather than a general room fill. Use a dimmable bulb and it pairs with a dimmer switch for softer evenings.

Its offset head suits a console table, sideboard or the corner of a desk, somewhere it can lean out over the edge without the base needing to sit directly underneath.
