Three Shades, One Composed Pendant
Three faceted glass shades fan out from a central chrome stem on the Agatha pendant, each one angled slightly differently so the fitting reads as a single composed piece rather than three arms bolted together. Between them, a tapering rod drops straight down and glows quietly along its own length, giving the design a lit centre as well as three lit shades.
Polished Chrome
The frame is solid brass, plated in a bright polished chrome that throws back plenty of reflected light, useful in a bathroom where every extra bit of brightness off a mirror or tiled wall helps. The three shades are pressed glass, cut with vertical ribbing that catches and breaks up the light rather than letting it sit flat, and the central rod is a clear acrylic taper that carries its own soft glow rather than just holding the fitting together.
How It Works
Each of the three arms takes its own G9 LED bulb, rated at 3W, inside a ribbed glass shade, while the central acrylic rod houses a separate integrated 1W LED that Elstead has built in rather than fitted with a replaceable lamp. Between the three G9 bulbs and the integrated rod you get a spread of light from the arms plus a softer glow down the middle, at a warm 3000K colour temperature. This isn't a dimmable fitting, so it runs at one brightness regardless of the switch or circuit it's wired to.
Where It Works Best
With IP44 protection, Agatha is rated for bathroom use, so it can go above a vanity unit or in the open part of a family bathroom; see our guide to bathroom lighting zones to check which zone that covers in your own room. The adjustable drop rod, from around 42.5cm up to 132.5cm, also means it can be hung further from the ceiling in a hallway or over a dressing table if you want the same look outside the bathroom.
Elstead Lighting
Agatha comes from Elstead Lighting, a British lighting group whose history traces back to The Elstead Forge in Alton, Hampshire, and which remains led by the same Lucas family today. The same faceted glass and acrylic detailing runs through the rest of the Agatha range, including a single pendant and a matching wall light, both available in this polished chrome or in brushed nickel if you want to carry the look across a bathroom or landing.

What bulbs does the Agatha 3 Light Pendant take? The three outer arms each take a G9 LED bulb rated at 3W, and none are included, so you'll need to fit your own. The central rod has its own integrated 1W LED built in, which lights up independently and cannot be swapped out.
Is this pendant dimmable? No. Agatha isn't compatible with dimmer switches, so it runs at a fixed brightness once wired in.
