It's dimmable as long as you fit dimmable G9 lamps and pair them with a compatible dimmer switch. The fitting is wired to Class I standards, which means it needs an earth connection when installed. With an IP44 rating, it's protected against water splashing from any direction, rather than just being resistant to damp air.
