A Focused Point of Light for Framing an Entrance or Pillar
The WL075 is a compact, single point source LED wall light built for straight to mains wiring outdoors. Rather than washing a whole wall in light, it throws a narrow, concentrated beam that picks out one spot, a doorway, a gate post, a garden pillar, and leaves the surrounding brick or stone in shadow around it. That contrast between light and shade is what gives an entrance its shape after dark, and this bronze outdoor wall light is built around that effect.
Bronze Finish in Anodised Aluminium
This version is finished in bronze, an anodised aluminium coating that reads as a warm, deep brown rather than a bright metallic tone. It settles well against brick, natural stone, oak or render, and pairs comfortably with door furniture or ironmongery in aged brass or bronze tones. The fitting is a two part design, a round wall plate stamped with the Collingwood C logo, and a slightly flared forward housing that directs the beam down through a small circular lens set into its base.
How It Works
This is a straight to mains fitting with an integral driver built into the housing itself, so there is no separate transformer to find space for. It connects directly into your outdoor lighting circuit at the point where it is mounted. The wiring is a parallel type, which means several WL075 units can be linked along the same run if you are lighting a row of pillars or a length of boundary wall. The LED runs at 5.7W and is fixed at manufacture in one of three colour temperatures, 2700K warm white, 3000K warm white or 4000K neutral white, so decide on the tone before ordering rather than after. It comes supplied with the fixings needed to mount it to a wall or pillar.
Where It Works Best
Built to IP65 in anodised aluminium, this light is designed to live outdoors, either side of a front door, mounted to a gate pillar, or spaced along a garden wall or driveway. Collingwood lists it as suitable for coastal, exposed sites, so it is built to cope with salt air and driving rain as well as a sheltered porch. The same IP65 rating also covers bathroom zone 2, so this fitting can equally work as a small, focused wall light in a bathroom or wet room. Read our guide to bathroom lighting zones before installing it in a bathroom.
About Collingwood Lighting
Collingwood designs and manufactures its LED lighting from Sywell in Northamptonshire, and has worked solely in LED technology since 2002. The brand states it was among the first to bring fire rated, fully sealed for life and mains dimmable LED products to the UK electrical wholesale market, helping push LED adoption ahead of much of the industry at the time. Collingwood has also been awarded an EcoVadis Gold medal, placing it in the top five percent of companies assessed worldwide for sustainability.
